Maria Amelia (Raposo) Medeiros, 91, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away on December 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late José Norberto Medeiros.

Maria was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church of Pawtucket for many years before moving back to her native country of Portugal, where she continued to be a pillar of strength and devout Christianity at The Church of Jesus, Maria, José in Varzea, São Miguel. She contributed immensely to the religious education program and she took great pleasure in teaching Sunday school children. She also served as a lector and was an active member of the Holy Spirit Society.
